Brenda Song Returns to Disney for New Comedy

Actress Brenda Song (The Social Network), who previously starred in Disney’s The Suite Life of Zack & Cody, is returning to the network to play the lead voice role in Amphibia.

The animated comedy, which is currently in production, will premiere on Disney Channel and DisneyNOW this summer. The series follows Song’s character, 13-year-old Anne Boonchuy, as she is magically transported into the world of Amphibia, a marshland full of frog-people.

Song also starred in Suite Life spinoff The Suite Life on Deck and The Suite Life Movie. She has also been in several Disney Channel Original Movies, including Wendy Wu: Homecoming Warrior, Stuck in the Suburbs, Get A Clue and The Ultimate Christmas Present.

Amphibia is created and executive produced by Annie Award-winning director Matt Braly (Gravity Falls). The series is a production of Disney Television Animation.
