Bluey’s Big Play The Stage Show Heading to U.K. & Ireland

Bluey’s Big Play The Stage Show is set to tour the U.K. and Ireland from the end of this year through summer 2024 following its sold-out shows across Australia and the U.S.

The Bluey theatrical adaptation features a brand-new original story from creator Joe Brumm and new music from composer Joff Bush. It is produced by Andrew Kay and Cuffe & Taylor with Windmill Theatre Company for BBC Studios.

The tour will visit venues across the U.K., including London’s Southbank Center on December 20 for a Christmas run. Tickets for the U.K. and Ireland leg will go on sale on June 30.

Bluey’s Big Play The Stage Show was performed 447 times across 65 venues in Australia, including at the Sydney Opera House. It is currently on tour in the U.S., where it has played at the Hulu Theatre at Madison Square Garden in New York, the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles and the Chicago Theatre. A Canadian tour was announced earlier this year.

“Following the incredible reaction to the live theater show in the U.S. and in Australia, we are so excited to bring Bluey’s Big Play The Stage Show to fans across the U.K. and Ireland,” said Natasha Spence, head of attractions at BBC Studios Live Entertainment.

“We’re thrilled to be bringing Bluey’s Big Play The Stage Show to U.K. and Ireland audiences, premiering it at the prestigious Royal Festival Hall in December,” said director Rosemary Myers of Windmill Theatre Company. “The response to the show from fans across Australia and the U.S. has been nothing short of amazing, and we can’t wait for U.K. families to experience all the fun and excitement of having Bluey and her family on stage live in their city.”

This phenomenal show brings the beloved characters of Bluey to life on stage, and we cannot contain our excitement for audiences to experience the magic and joy it will bring.”
