APC Kids has secured new broadcast deals for all three seasons of the fantasy series Tinka in Canada and Europe.

Season three was acquired by Télé-Québec in Canada and Canal+ in France, while season two was picked up by MTVA in Hungary and France Télévisions in France. Season one, meanwhile, was licensed by ERR in Estonia.

The series follows 15-year-old Tinka, who discovers she is half pixie, half human. She then embarks on an adventure in the hopes of finding the valuable Christmas star. In season two, Tinka and the King’s Game, she joins an ancient competition to secure her rightful place on the throne. Season three, Tinka and The Echo of Souls, sees the character head to the pixie city of Kongsby, where she might fight to keep the kingdom united.

Tinka is produced by Cosmo for TV2 in Denmark. APC Kids holds worldwide rights, excluding Denmark, Sweden, Norway and Germany.

“The Tinka franchise goes from strength to strength, and we are thrilled that new broadcasters are on board the show across all three seasons,” said Lionel Marty, managing director of APC Kids. “Fantasy continues to be a strong genre globally and we look forward to new audiences worldwide enjoying Tinka’s epic adventures.”
