Ameba TV has signed a new licensing agreement with Brazilian animation studio Alopra, expanding the streaming platform’s animated offerings with three new titles.

The deal gives Ameba TV viewers in the U.S. and Canada access to Alopra’s Great Little Ones, Great Little Ones: Babies and Oppa Keki. In the world of the Great Little Ones series, being different is normal and children learn through fun. Oppa Keki follows a tortoise that doesn’t like getting wet and a claustrophobic armadillo as they explore the Amazon’s ecosystem.

“There is an enormous amount of wonderfully produced children’s content available outside of North America,” said Tony Havelka, the CEO of Ameba. “Our attendance at MIPCOM 2018 gave us a true sense of just how much there was and how a large amount of companies are interested in finding new avenues to reach young audiences throughout North America. We are so excited to partner with Alopra and look forward to bringing these wonderful animated properties to our young viewers.”

Fernando Stefano, the executive director at Alopra, added: “There is a great expectation here at Alopra with this new partnership. We truly believe there is no boundary for our content, and Ameba TV knows how to make the most of it.”
