ABC Lines Up Trio of Animated Holiday Specials

BURBANK: Next month, ABC Television Network is slated to broadcast the animated holiday specials A Charlie Brown Christmas, Toy Story That Time Forgot and Shrek the Halls.

A Charlie Brown Christmas, an Emmy-winning special from 1965, is set to air on Thursday, December 1, from 8 to 9 p.m. The hour will also include Charlie Brown’s Christmas Tales, a series of animated stories based on the work of creator Charles M. Schulz that see the Peanuts characters Charlie Brown, Snoopy, Linus, Lucy and Sally each star in their own vignette.

Also on ABC’s lineup this holiday season is Pixar Animation Studios’ Toy Story That Time Forgot, featuring characters from the Toy Story films. The 30-minute special is scheduled for Thursday, December 8, at 8 p.m. That same night will also include the broadcast of DreamWorks Animation’s Shrek the Halls, a 30-minute special based on the Shrek movie franchise, at 8:30 p.m.
