LONDON: The Story Lab has secured the worldwide distribution rights, outside of North America, for the dating show Game of Clones.

From youngest Media, the reality format sees a singleton looking for love uses the latest avatar technology to design their perfect partner. It then delivers eight of their creations. The singleton moves into a luxury house to live with their perfect clones. But with all the clones looking alike, it becomes a battle of personalities because they have just one week to find the one who is their perfect match.

Luci Sanan, format director at The Story Lab Global, commented, “We are thrilled to have acquired the global distribution rights for such a fantastic format, created by one of the top entertainment companies in the U.K. and we feel sure it will be a hit around the world. Game of Clones is already proving a success with global broadcasters looking to hook the millennial audience.”

David Flynn, co-founder of youngest Media, said, “With the amazing visual of eight suitors who look the same, Game of Clones is a dating show like no other. Channel 4 took a risk backing this very distinctive format, and we look forward to other broadcasters giving new singletons around the world the chance to design and get to know their perfect partners.”

Game of Clones was produced for E4, and both the format and finished programs will be sold at MIPTV.

Meanwhile, the physical game show Ninja Warrior from TBS in Japan is distributed by The Story Lab and Dentsu. The show is “already a big hit across most of Western Europe and is now also in production for Antena 3 in Spain,” says Sanan. “Its ongoing appeal with family audiences is securing new license deals and recommissions with leading broadcasters in the U.K., Germany, France, Italy and the Netherlands.” Hall Pass, meanwhile, sees what happens when couples allow each other to behave as if they are single for 72 hours.

The Story Lab is also offering Hall Pass, which sees what happens when couples allow each other to behave as if they are single for 72 hours.

“We are constantly scouting for premium entertainment content ideas from all over the world,” says Sanan.
