The Story Lab is working with SBS in Belgium on a local adaptation of the remotely filmed cooking class format All Together at the Table.

Produced locally by SBS, the new version of the live, interactive show is co-hosted by Belgian celebrity chef Dominique Persoone and comedian Jani Kazaltzis. The series launches on November 11 and will air Mondays to Fridays at 6:45 p.m. for a five-week run.

All Together at the Table sees a famous chef host a live, interactive cooking masterclass directly from their own kitchen. In each episode, the chef must work against the clock to cook up a menu for four people composed of a starter and a main course, or a main course and a dessert.

Annick Bongers, program director at SBS, commented: “As we enter a challenging new phase of lockdown in Belgium, All Together at the Table offers a great recipe of cooking tips, celebrities and fun that is sure to whet the appetite of our viewers at home. We Belgians are famously proud of our cooking and we are excited to add this to the menu for our audience’s evening viewing.”

Olivia Haynes, The Story Lab’s global sales and development manager, commented: “Our deal with SBS means that All Together at The Table is set to replicate its success in France and become ‘the biggest cooking class in Belgium.’ SBS’s production of the show proves how this format is ideally suited to socially distanced filming and can, if needed, be delivered within an exceptionally short time frame.”
