The Dog House, first made for Channel 4 in the U.K., is getting a Spanish adaptation on RTVE.

All3Media International, which handles tape and format sales, previously clinched adaptation deals in Australia, Germany and the Netherlands for the Five Mile Films concept, which takes viewers inside the dog adoption process. Produced in collaboration with Boxfish in Spain, casting is currently underway for the RTVE adaptation.

Eliana Barbosa, VP for Spain, Portugal and Italy at All3Media International, noted, “The Dog House has delivered feel-good television full of heart-warming, emotional tales set in the dog rescue centres to audiences across the globe, so I am delighted to welcome RTVE and Boxfish as the latest partners to be opening doors to their very own The Dog House in Spain later this year.”

Edi Walter, managing director of Boxfish Spain, said: “We’re proud to bring The Dog House to Spain and grateful to TVE for the opportunity to produce this wonderful format. It’s a show that truly resonates with audiences through heartfelt, authentic stories. Through entertainment, we hope to help raise awareness around pet adoption, just as other international versions of this All3media format have successfully done.”
