SimpelZodiak has been commissioned by Prime Video in Benelux to produce Good Luck Guys: Overleven Zonder Filter, marking the sixth territory to adapt the format.

The eight-part reality series is to premiere next month with three episodes, followed by a new episode weekly, exclusively on Prime Video in Benelux.

Originally created by Banijay Productions France, the fish-out-of-water reality format sees 12 well-known influencers travel to Thailand to pass the ultimate test: surviving on a deserted beach on the other side of the world without the usual trappings of celebrity life. They do so under the guidance of host Robbert Rodenburg, Expedition Robinson (Survivor) 2021 winner.

Lucas Green, chief content officer for operations at Banijay, said: “Good Luck Guys is packed with fun, adventure, drama and sometimes even romance. The journey of this format originally created in France, now traveling to its sixth market, is a testament to its universal appeal and escapist frivolity, which is very exciting right now.”

Justine Huffmeijer, managing director of SimpelZodiak, said: “This deal with Prime Video reinforces our ambition to produce high-quality entertainment for audiences in Benelux and beyond. We’ve seen the success of Good Luck Guys in other markets, and we’re eager to see how our Dutch influencers adapt to life in unchartered waters. However unpredictable beach life is, one thing is for sure: We know audiences are going to love this series.”
