Marcus/Glass Productions, in partnership with Can’t Stop Media, has sold the format rights to Let’s Make a Deal to TVI in Portugal.

Pedro Texeira (Festa é Festa, Raid the Cage) has been tapped to host the Portuguese adaptation, and Fremantle Portugal (Got Talent, The Price is Right, The Masked Singer) is set to produce. The show will air in access prime time on TVI.

This deal follows Let’s Make a Deal’s recent re-version in Indonesia on GTV (as Super Deal), where the show airs six days a week, and the successful second season on Sat.1 in Germany (as Geh aufs Ganze). The U.S. version, hosted by Wayne Brady, has been airing daily on CBS since 2009 and is nearing 3,000 episodes.

In a few months, Let’s Make a Deal will launch on TV2 in Hungary (as Zsákbamacska) and is currently in development in the U.K., France, Italy, Poland, Greece, Argentina and Chile.

“Can’t Stop Media only started working on this evergreen format in January 2022, thanks to the trust of Nancy Glass and Marcus Lemonis, its new owners, and we are incredibly proud of the results so far,” said Matthieu Porte, partner, international and development at Can’t Stop Media. “Three territories have already commissioned daily series. And this is just the beginning, as we will be finalizing many more commissions in 2023!”
