Joker Gets Third Season in Spain

TVE in Spain has renewed the quiz format Joker, from the Global Agency catalog, for a third season of 110 episodes.

Lavinia Audiovisual will produce the prime-time show, in which contestants aim to ascend the money tree, using their store of jokers to cancel out their wrong answers and win a cash prize.

Airing under the local title El Comodin, the show will be broadcast on TVE from Monday to Friday at 6:25 p.m. and will be presented by Aitor Albizua and Esti Gabilondo.

Joker was developed by the creator of several Global Agency hit formats, including Blind Taste and Shopping Monsters. The format was initially broadcast on the Turkish public broadcaster TRT for over 100 episodes. It has had successful runs on RTP in Portugal and France 2. Further licenses and options include Slovenia, Poland, Greece, the U.S., the Middle East, Ireland, Australia and Italy.
