Apple TV+ Slates KPOPPED Premiere

All eight episodes of the new competition series KPOPPED, featuring PSY and Megan Thee Stallion, are slated to premiere on Apple TV+ on August 29.

Each episode sees Western chart-toppers team up with K-pop groups to reimagine one of their biggest songs. Western artists taking part in the series are Megan Thee Stallion, Patti LaBelle, The Spice Girls’ Mel B and Emma Bunton, Vanilla Ice, Taylor Dayne, Kesha, Eve, J Balvin, Kylie Minogue, TLC, Boy George, Jess Glynne, Ava Max and Boyz II Men. Lionel Richie is an executive producer.

The K-pop groups will perform their renditions in front of a live audience in Seoul, and the audience will vote for the standout performance of the night.

Featured K-pop acts are Billlie, ITZY, Kep1er, JO1, ATEEZ, STAYC, Kiss of Life and BLACKSWAN. Soojeong Son (Servant, Search Party), serves as host.

KPOPPED is executive produced by Moira Ross, Richie, Miky Lee, Megan Thee Stallion and Greg Foster, alongside Harry H.K. Shin and Jake Hong, with producer Ki-woong Kim for CJ ENM. Chris Culvenor, Paul Franklin, Wes Dening and David Tibballs executive produce for Eureka Productions, a Fremantle company, alongside Bruce Eskowitz.
