Seven Year Switch, an A+E Networks social-experiment format, is continuing its global rollout with the launch of local versions in Italy and Finland.

The show will premiere on Fox Life in Italy and on Nelonen in Finland today, Monday, March 11. These two launches follow on the heels of premieres on Seven Network in Australia, Antena 3 in Spain, RTL4 in the Netherlands, Channel 4 in the U.K. and Lifetime in the U.S.

Seven Year Switch follows couples who are at the seven-year mark in their relationship and have hit a rough patch. The couples participate in “switch therapy,” which sees them swap partners for two weeks and take part in an experimental relationship with a stranger. The couples ideally emerge with a new perspective on their relationship and their partner.

“These new local productions in Italy and Finland are testament to the universal appeal and local adaptability of the Seven Year Switch franchise,” said Robyn Hurd, A+E Networks’ VP of content sales for EMEA. “The format’s continued ratings success around the globe shows us innovative programming that showcases extreme social experiments are destined to engage global audiences. We are excited to bring this hit to new markets.”
