Gil Formats has secured a deal with Banijay Group’s Nonpanic for a local version of its Life on Duty format in Italy.

Both created and distributed by Gil Formats, the prime-time factual-entertainment format follows emergency services professionals in their day-to-day lives. It gives a look at both their tough but rewarding days at work, as well as their private lives that often go neglected due to their demanding jobs.

Through a deal with TF1, Life on Duty is also set for a French adaptation. The second season of the Spanish version of the format—titled Héroes, Más Allá del Deber—launched on Mediaset’s Cuatro last January. Discovery Networks Latin America and U.S. Hispanic subsequently picked up the finished program rights to Héroes, Más Allá del Deber’s first season from Gil Formats.
