5 Orders 50 More Episodes of Celebrity Puzzling

5 has commissioned 50 additional one-hour episodes of Celebrity Puzzling, the quiz show hosted by broadcaster Jeremy Vine and featuring Sally Lindsay and Carol Vorderman.

Celebrity Puzzling had fans hooked from the start,” said Federico Ruiz, commissioning editor of unscripted at 5. “It’s fun, chaotic and ideal for shouting answers at the telly, even though, to be honest, I’m usually shouting the wrong ones. Bringing back broadcasting royalty, Jeremy, Carol and Sally was a total no-brainer—and with 50 hours of brain-scratching puzzles, as well as a long line of celebrity guests raring to go, they’ll certainly have their work cut out.”

The series, produced by Potato and Wheelhouse Studios, is produced with the support of Creative Wales. It is filmed at Enfys Studios in Cardiff.

Each episode of Celebrity Puzzling sees Vine host a quiz in which Lindsay and Vorderman lead teams tackling a range of tricky puzzles, testing logic, lateral thinking and problem-solving.

“This is the most fun quiz on British TV right now, and I can’t wait to get back into the studio with Sally and Carol,” Vine said. “Simple puzzles, smart celebs—lots of laughs, lots of howls of disappointment and joy. We are going to have a fantastic time on 5!”

“Me, Vorders and Jeremy are back puzzling away,” Lindsay commented. “I actually was quite impressed last year about how I handled the puzzling! Totally out of my comfort zone and now I’m getting nervous all over again! Nerve-wracking and a massive laugh at the same time.”

Vorderman added, “The first series was just brilliant; it was full of clever twists, laughter and genuine brain-bending moments. I’m so excited to be back puzzling again with my fab mate Sally and the ever-clever Jeremy.”

“The joy of puzzling is something we love at Potato, and it’s great to see it strike such a chord with viewers,” said Martin Scott, executive producer at Potato. “This next run of Celebrity Puzzling turns up the challenge and the fun in equal measure”.

Glenn Hugill, executive producer at Wheelhouse Studios, added, “I love Celebrity Puzzling. It’s my favorite kind of format; the sort that looks polite on the surface but then quietly turns into a psychological cage match. This new series embraces that fully!”
