99 to Beat Lands French Adaptation

M6 has commissioned a French adaptation of the Belgian format 99 to Beat, to be produced by Warner Bros. International Television Production (WBITVP) France.

France is the ninth territory to adapt the game show, which sees 100 contestants compete to win the jackpot by participating in over 99 fun games. The only rule is they cannot come last. The French adaptation, 99 à Battre, is set to air in 2025 on M6.

The format is distributed by Primitives and was originally developed by Belgium’s VRT and De Chinezen.

“We are truly excited to bring 99 to Beat for the first time to France,” said Bruno Henriquet, president of WBITVP France. “We were attracted by the simplicity of this multigenerational game show, and the great look and feel with 100 contestants playing at the same time, which makes it quite unique on TV. We are very enthusiastic and hope the French audience will be as well when we unveil 99 à Battre during M6’s 2025 season.”

Simone de Pruyssenaere de la Woestyne, director of sales and acquisitions at Primitives, added, “We are thrilled to bring 99 to Beat to the French audience with WBITVP France as our production partner and to continue the format’s international success.”
