Insight Productions and Groupe Fair-Play are partnering to develop and produce unscripted programming in English and French for Canadian and international markets.

The companies plan to produce projects across multiple genres, including formats, variety, live specials, competition reality, social experiment and more, potentially shooting English and French versions concurrently, and enabling both to scale up productions and reach new audiences.

“Groupe Fair-Play has a stellar reputation for its high-quality, popular programming and its leadership team,” said Lindsay Cox, co-chief content officer at Insight Productions, who spearheaded the conversations with the partners at Groupe Fair-Play. “We share many of the same values and drive for exceptionally innovative, marketable content. This strategic partnership means Insight and Groupe Fair-Play are now open for business in both languages.”

Michel St-Cyr, co-founder and executive producer of Groupe Fair-Play, said: “The current economic context, marked by the lowering of tariff barriers between Canadian provinces, makes this partnership more relevant than ever. By taking advantage of the opening markets and the synergy of our two official languages, we’re combining our expertise to develop bold bilingual content for the entire Canadian market, while promoting both French- and English-speaking cultures.”

“Both Insight and Groupe Fair-Play are aligned on our vision to develop programming that unites and celebrates both English- and French-speaking viewers,” said Tanya Low, chief development officer/senior VP at Insight Productions. “We’ve already had extensive development discussions around formats and other projects that we hope to bring to Canadian buyers in the next few weeks.”

“At Fair-Play, we are convinced that this collaboration with Insight, both for the development and production of content for the French- and English-speaking markets, will enable our companies to take a new step forward in their development,” said Marie-Ève Dallaire, executive VP of Groupe Fair-Play. “We’re really pleased to be teaming up with such high-performance, committed and inspiring professionals.”
