HBO Extends Direct-to-Consumer Reach in Central Europe

HBO has become available direct to consumers in Bulgaria, Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, Montenegro, Macedonia, and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

HBO Europe’s SVOD service HBO GO is launching today in those seven territories. Viewers have access to such current originals as Game of Thrones, Westworld and Silicon Valley, as well as previous hits like Sex and the City, The Sopranos and The Wire. Subscribers can watch HBO Europe local programming, including Romania’s Shadows, Poland’s The Pack and Hungary’s Golden Life, as well as future originals from the Adria region.

Additional content comprises new movies like Beauty and the Beast, Jackie and Assassin’s Creed, as well as kids’ shows and content from other providers, including The Handmaid’s Tale, Billions and Twin Peaks. New titles are added on a weekly basis. The service is available on computers, smartphones, tablets, Apple TV, Chromecast, Samsung Smart TVs and PlayStation.
