Telefonica Spain & CBSSI Enter SVOD Pact

LOS ANGELES/MADRID: CBS Studios International (CBSSI) and Telefonica Spain have today announced their first multiyear licensing deal for the exclusive SVOD rights for a selection of CBS and Showtime series.

Among the titles included in the deal are Showtime's Penny Dreadful, Ray Donovan and The Affair, which won the Golden Globe for best TV drama series. From the CBS slate, titles include Under the Dome, The Good Wife and the second season of Madam Secretary, as well as classics such as Twin Peaks and Medium. The programming will be available on Movistar Series, Telefonica’s new SVOD service, which launched in Spain on December 10.
