Schitt’s Creek Stars Eugene & Dan Levy to Attend MIPCOM

LONDON: ITV Studios Global Entertainment (ITVS GE) is hosting a slew of on- and off-screen talent at MIPCOM, including Eugene and Dan Levy, the stars and co-creators of the new comedy Schitt’s Creek.

Schitt’s Creek tells the story of a wealthy family who suddenly finds themselves broke and so is forced to live in a small, depressing town they once bought as a joke.

Aquarius executive producer Marty Adelstein and executive producer and writer John McNamara will join ITVS GE in hosting the first-ever international screening of the drama. Set in the 1960s, Aquarius stars David Duchovny as a Los Angeles police sergeant tracking a small-time criminal who turns out to be Charles Manson.

Meanwhile, Sir Richard Taylor, the co-owner of Thunderbirds Are Go co-producers Pukeko Pictures and Weta Workshop, and executive producer Giles Ridge will join ITVS GE in hosting the inaugural MIP Junior World Premiere TV Screening of Thunderbirds Are Go.

Maria Kyriacou, the managing director of ITV Studios Global Entertainment and ROW, said: “From Hollywood stars Eugene and Dan Levy to the highest caliber off-screen professionals in Marty Adelstein, John McNamara and Sir Richard Taylor, we have a fantastic lineup of diverse, creative talent at MIPCOM this year. Schitt’s Creek, Aquarius and Thunderbirds Are Go are the jewels in the crown of our extensive portfolio of new scripted content at MIPCOM and we’re delighted to offer our clients the opportunity to meet their stars and creators.”
