BBC Commissions New Daytime Game Show

LONDON: BBC has ordered Two Tribes, a new game show from Endemol’s Remarkable Television, for its daytime schedule.

The 30×30-minute series, set to launch on the British network later this year, is a quiz show where seven contestants are asked hundreds of questions about themselves before being split up into two groups. Those teams then go up against each other in a general-knowledge round. Richard Osman, of the BBC One show Pointless, will host the program.

James Fox and Richard Hague exec produce for Remarkable Television, along with BBC commissioning editor Pam Cavannagh. Damian Kavanagh, the controller of BBC Daytime, commissioned the series.

“It’s a brilliantly play-along game as you root for the tribe you belong to and answer lots of quick-fire general-knowledge questions,” Fox said. “We’re really looking forward to seeing Richard come out from behind the Pointless desk to front the show and get to know the contestants like never before.”
