CANNES: The comedic drama Doll & Em and the entertainment format Duck Quacks Don’t Echo are among the highlights Sky Vision is touting at MIPCOM.

Doll & Em was created by and stars Hollywood A-lister Emily Mortimer and her real-life best friend Dolly Wells. Leona Connell, the head of global sales at Sky Vision, calls it an “intimate, funny portrait of female friendship, set against the backdrop of L.A., and it also features a number of surprise high-profile celebrity cameos.”

Sky Vision is also showcasing the feature-length swashbuckling drama Moonfleet, an adaptation of the John Meade Falkner novel set in a small Dorset village. Capping off the list of highlights is Duck Quacks Don’t Echo, which Connell says is “a particularly exciting acquisition for us, as we represent both the U.K. and the U.S. series rights as well as the format rights.”

The show, produced by Magnum Media for Sky 1 HD and due to air in 2014, has already been acquired by National Geographic Channel US. The entertainment panel is recorded in front of a live studio audience, and in each episode three celebrities offer up what they believe to be the best and most amazing facts. Andy Auerbach at Magnum Media notes: "Every episode of Duck Quacks Don’t Echo is packed with some of the most amazing facts you’ve never heard of. We hope the appeal of the series is as universal as the science it celebrates and we’re delighted to be teaming up with Sky Vision to take the show to an international audience.”
