Sky Movies Becomes Home to Harry Potter Franchise

LONDON: Sky has reached a deal with Warner Bros. for the exclusive rights to all eight Harry Potter films for Sky Movies.

The pact kicks off next month. During the three months that the films will run on Sky movies, the works will not be available on any other U.K. TV channel or streaming service. All will be aired in HD with no commercials.

Ian Lewis, the director of Sky Movies, said: “We’re delighted to be extending our partnership with Warner Bros’. to deliver Sky Movies customers exclusive access to the entire Harry Potter collection, which will not be available on any other TV channel or streaming service this Christmas. To make it even better, Sky Movies customers can also enjoy the entire series of films on demand through their Sky+HD box, or watch them while they are on the move via their smartphone or mobile tablet.”
