LOVEFiLM Inks Deal for Universal Titles

LONDON: LOVEFiLM has reached a deal with NBCUniversal International Television Distribution that delivers streaming access to a slew of Universal Pictures feature films to its subscribers in the U.K.

LOVEFiLM gains access to the titles in their second pay window. The slate includes Kick-Ass, Despicable Me, Battleship, Senna and more. LOVEFiLM already has deals with Disney, Sony Pictures, Warner Bros, Entertainment One and STUDIOCANAL.

"LOVEFiLM is proud to offer its members access to the highest quality content across multiple platforms from another of the world’s most respected studios," said Jim Buckle, the company’s managing director. "NBCUniversal is also LOVEFiLM’s latest exclusive streaming deal in our quest to deliver the widest choice of content on as many platforms as possible."
