ProSiebenSat.1 Group’s Seven. One Entertainment Group has sealed its biggest-ever film and series deal with NBCUniversal Global Distribution.

The multi-year pact grants Seven. One Entertainment Group’s platforms in Germany access to an extensive slate of feature films, including Fast X, Jurassic World Dominion and Ticket to Paradise. Select TV series will have first runs on Seven. One’s free-TV assets. The deal also covers rights for the SVOD service Joyn, and pay-TV rights. Seven. One Entertainment Group will also get access to NBCUniversal’s library titles, factual and family entertainment content. Titles include the new Quantum Leap and library fare such as Knight Rider and House. Reality under the pact includes Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles, Botched and Keeping Up with The Kardashians. The licensing deal also covers the kids’ titles DreamWorks Animation’s Madagascar: A little Wild and Kung Fu Panda Holiday.

Henrik Pabst, chief content officer of Seven. One Entertainment Group, noted: “This rights deal is groundbreaking for our future content acquisition. For the first time in a deal with a major studio, we can flexibly decide in which order we play out the strong content—whether first on linear TV, AVOD or SVOD on Joyn. Classic TV and on-demand will benefit from this approach. In this way, we play out content from Hollywood optimally and precisely in line with our strategy across all platforms and achieve maximum reach. With this deal, we offer our viewers and users the best Hollywood entertainment—first-class blockbusters, series, factual and family entertainment offerings from NBCUniversal.”

Belinda Menendez, president and chief revenue officer for NBCUniversal Global Distribution, added: “We have had a wonderful longstanding partnership with Seven. One Entertainment Group, and we are delighted to expand upon our relationship with them through this new, extensive multiyear deal. Their strategic approach to programming for their various platforms, combined with NBCUniversal’s unrivaled content portfolio, will ensure that their viewers will be able to enjoy best-in-class entertainment for years to come.”
