Disney+ Moves Up European Launches

The Walt Disney Company has set March 24 as the new launch date for Disney+ in markets across Western Europe, with pricing confirmed at £5.99 ($8) per month or £59.99 ($78) for an annual subscription.

The streaming service will launch in the U.K., Ireland, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Austria and Switzerland on March 24. Additional Western Europe markets, including Belgium, the Nordics and Portugal, will follow in summer 2020.

Disney+ went live on November 12 in the U.S., Canada and the Netherlands. The service was expanded to Australia, New Zealand and Puerto Rico a week later.
