The London-based youngest Media has launched youngest Media Germany and has landed a commission for the reality series Battle of the Bands (working title) from Germany’s RTL II.

Based in Munich, the new operation in Germany is the first international subsidiary of youngest Media, an independent content studio founded in 2016 by Lucas Church and David Flynn. Church and Flynn, who will be responsible for the creation and pitching of new and existing content, have been joined by Mark Stehli as youngest Media Germany’s managing director.

Battle of the Bands (w/t), youngest Media Germany’s first major series commission, will launch on RTL II in 2020. Christoph Oldenburg and Flynn are serving as executive producers for youngest Media.

Church and Flynn said: “Establishing an embedded presence in one of Europe’s most important territories represents a significant step for youngest Media. We’ve been extremely encouraged by the appetite of Germany’s major platforms to innovate and launch new formats and RTL II’s commission of Battle of the Bands (w/t) underscores this. We are thrilled to be producing our latest new show for them.”
