Viacom International Media Networks (VIMN) UK has acquired Sex and the City creator Darren Star’s comedy Younger from Endemol Shine International.

The deal includes all six seasons of the series, which is produced by Viacom’s TV Land in the U.S. It is set to air on Comedy Central UK later this year.

Starring two-time Tony winner Sutton Foster, alongside Hilary Duff, Debi Mazar, Miriam Shor, Nico Tortorella, Peter Hermann, Molly Bernard and Charles Michael Davis, Younger follows 40-year-old Liza (Foster), a suddenly single mother who lies about her age to land a job in the highly competitive world of publishing. As Liza’s personal and professional lives become irreversibly intertwined over time, keeping the secret proves more and more difficult.

Younger is written and executive produced by Star, with Endemol Shine International distributing the series outside of the U.S. Season six premiered in the U.S. on June 12. Having sold across over 160 countries, the series is also being adapted locally in South Korea and China in deals struck by Endemol Shine.

Louise Holmes, VP and general manager of Comedy Central UK, commented: “Younger is a delightful mix of comedy, drama and romance that is sure to become a firm favorite with Comedy Central viewers. The show has gone from strength to strength on Viacom’s TV Land in the U.S. and we can’t wait to bring all six seasons to Comedy Central’s viewers here in the U.K. from this autumn.”

Cathy Payne, chief executive of Endemol Shine International, added: “Currently airing its sixth season, Younger has been a huge success around the world and we are so pleased to be working with VIMN UK to bring the entire six seasons to the U.K.”
