The newly launched venture The Mediapro Studio is arriving at MIPTV with the fiction series The Paradise, which shows what might be lurking in an idyllic place like Fuengirola, with Imagina International Sales representing the rights to its projects at the market.

The series is set on the streets of “Little Finland,” a Finnish community in Fuengirola where two apparently unrelated murders take place. The eight-episode series, which stars Fran Perea, was co-produced by The Mediapro Studio and the Finnish companies Yle Drama and MRP Matila Röhr Productions. The Mediapro Studio will be showing initial footage at the market.

In Juan for President, Juan Carrasco, a bumbling Minister of Agriculture, has his sights set on the presidency. He will attempt to win the election using only his great skill for improvisation and willpower. The series was co-produced by TNT and 100 Balas (The Mediapro Studio).

The Mediapro Studio is also bringing the documentary Dio’Ce to the market, looking at the harsh reality of a group of youth living in a district of Naples under control of the Camorra. These teenagers must decide between joining organized crime or taking a different path in life.

In regard to entertainment formats, Moneyballs is a frenetic contest that pits knowledge and luck against the promise of a grand prize. The show was co-produced by The Mediapro Studio and Phileas Productions.

These new productions join the latest seasons of I’m Alive and Side Games.
