In concert with its slate of highlighted programming, Twofour Rights is going to this year’s MIPTV with a new addition to its sales team.

Kaia Roemer has been appointed as sales executive of managing sales within German-speaking Europe, CEE, Turkey and Greece. She will join the Twofour team in Cannes and will be responsible for distributing the group’s formats and finished tapes to broadcasters.

Roemer previously managed sales in the same territories for Sliverlining TV and has also worked for several other companies, including Fremantle, ZDF and Visit Films. Eniela Bella, VP of sales at Twofour Rights, said: “We’re delighted to welcome Kaia ahead of MIPTV. Her knowledge and understanding of these territories will be a great addition to the team.”

The slate that Roemer will help showcase at MIPTV is full of new highlights of factual and entertainment series and formats.

Amateur cooks face off against culinary pros in Beat the Chef, a new cook-off show that has a money ladder with a big cash prize. Another offering, Secret Teacher, is a new four-part series with four successful business owners who struggled in school returning to academia to offer a helping hand to those who remind them of their younger selves. A spin-off of Extreme Cake Makers—which is also on offer from the company—Extreme Chocolate Makers features chocolatiers creating show-stopping chocolate masterpieces.

Twofour will also be showcasing the format What Would Your Kid Do?, which has already traveled to ten territories, in addition to The Junk Food Experiment, It’s Your Fault I’m Fat, Impossible Engineering and Undercover Girlfriends.

“Twofour continues to offer content this market that evokes emotion,” said Holly Hodges, Twofour Rights’ head of sales operations and VP of sales for North America, the U.K., Ireland, Australia and New Zealand. “All of these feel very of the moment—TV with heart and purpose.”
