Twenty Twenty Names Emma Willis Managing Director

Warner Bros. International Television Production (WBITVP) has appointed Emma Willis as managing director of Twenty Twenty Productions, effective immediately.

In her new role, Willis will work under Ronald Goes, the executive VP and head of WBITVP. She previously served as creative director since 2015. She will continue to oversee Twenty Twenty’s creative vision while also managing the company’s overall commercial strategy of building shows into global brands. Earlier in her career, Willis was head of documentary commissioning at the BBC.

Meanwhile, Hana Canter was elevated to business director, reporting to Willis. She is charged with maximizing the commercial opportunities around both current and new formats. Before joining Twenty Twenty in 2011, she worked for such companies as Cineflix and Endemol.

Willis commented: “I am absolutely delighted to be at the helm of this wonderful company and working with all the talented people here. It is a very exciting time for us, with a number of big commissions in the wings, and I look forward to leading Twenty Twenty in its next chapter of growth and creativity.”
