Fox Networks Group (FNG) in the Nordics and 20th Century Fox Television Distribution have signed a multiyear deal that sees a range of new shows debuting on the FOX channels in Norway, Sweden and Finland.

The first series to be shown in Norway, Sweden and Finland under the new deal will be The Gifted, produced by 20th Century Fox Television in association with Marvel Television and set in the X-Men universe. Among the other new shows that will premiere across the region are The Orville and Ghosted, as well as the upcoming procedural drama from creators Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk 9-1-1.

FOX will also broadcast hit series in several select territories such as Family Guy, American Dad and New Girl (Norway only), Modern Family (Sweden only) and The Simpsons (Finland only).

The multiyear agreement covers exclusive premieres and returning series on FOX in Norway, Finland and Sweden, along with enhanced nonlinear rights.

“The new deal is another milestone in the long-running relationship between the FOX channels in the Nordics and 20th Century Fox Television Distribution, and the caliber of these new titles will fit perfectly alongside the award-winning scripted series we pride ourselves on bringing exclusively to our viewers,” said Hans van Rijn, the general manager of FNG Nordics.

“At the start of the year, we jointly launched FOX+ across the Nordics with an impressive slate of new and established U.S. dramas and comedies. Now we are thrilled to bring some of the best series to screens across the Nordics available both on TV and on-demand.”
