VICELAND has landed two new carriage deals in Belgium, where the network debuted on March 1 this year.

The lifestyle and entertainment channel secured distribution with VOO and Orange, expanding VICELAND’s reach substantially across Flanders and Wallonia. The agreements are in addition to VICELAND’s current platform carriers in Belgium: Telenet and Proximus.

VICELAND’s programming lineup will showcase both international and locally produced series, including the upcoming season of Huang’s World and States of Undress, as well as the latest local Benelux productions Tokyayo, starring artists Faberyayo and Steven van Lummel, and Noisey Brussels, a localized production of VICELAND’s international music format.

Stefan Tieleman, the general manager of VICELAND Benelux, said: “We’re thrilled that we have secured these new partnerships, expanding our national coverage in Belgium through cooperation with VOO and Orange. With our first raft of local productions airing from this autumn, we’re excited to be able to showcase our channel’s creative voice and alternative perspective to more youth viewers across the country.”

Christian Loiseau, the director of media for BE TV and VOO, commented: “The arrival of VICELAND will allow us to offer new content that expands our current TV offering and answers the ever-changing demands of our subscribers.”

Cristina Zanchi, the chief consumer officer at Orange Belgium, commented: “Our goal is to connect our customers with what they really think is important, and we see VICELAND as a wonderful addition to our current offering. As such, we continue to expand our channel package systematically, regularly surprising our customers with extra content, app improvement and additional mobile data.”
