RTL Group Closes SpotX Transaction

RTL Group has closed the transaction to acquire the remaining 36.4 percent shareholding of SpotX and take full ownership.

RTL Group first acquired a majority stake in SpotX—at that time known as SpotXchange—in September 2014. Since then, SpotX has seen significant growth in terms of revenue, client base, technology development and geographic footprint. RTL Group is planning for a close collaboration of SpotX and Smartclip, rolling out solutions across RTL Group’s operations and scaling up the businesses with further acquisitions and partnerships.
