Red Planet Pictures Adds to Development Team

Red Planet Pictures has made three new appointments as well as promoted existing team member Harriet Creelman.

Sarah Barton joins the company as head of development. Previously, Barton worked for BBC drama and was most recently working at Ridley Scott’s Scott Free Productions. Rowan Greenaway joins the company this month as a development executive, charged with identifying factual stories and IP that can be adapted for the drama genre. Greenaway joins the company having recently worked on a variety of dramas for Channel 4, CNN and Discovery.

In addition to two new members of the development team, Creelman has been promoted to development executive. Also joining the team is Michelle Frances, who will be taking on the role of literary acquisitions executive, sourcing books to adapt. Having previously spent time at Wall to Wall and Company Pictures, Frances joins Red Planet from BBC Wales, where she was head of development.

Red Planet Pictures Joint MD and Creative Director Belinda Campbell commented: “It’s fantastic to be able to announce Harriet’s promotion and our new arrivals, each of whom is incredibly talented and passionate about working with exceptional writers and creating outstanding drama.”
