Electus International Hires for Europe

LOS ANGELES: Jonathan South has been named senior VP and head of Europe at Electus International.

South will oversee sales and distribution for the U.K., France and the Nordic region, as well as lead the company’s scripted co-production business in the U.K. and serve as the main point of contact for U.K. third-party rights holders. He will seek out new international formats to bring to the U.S. South will be based in London and will report to John Pollak, the president of Electus International.

Most recently, South served as the head of worldwide sales and head of non-scripted and alternative programming for Televisa International. He also worked at A&E Television Networks for seven years, serving as VP of sales for EMEA and then senior VP of content.

“Jonathan is an industry veteran with a wealth of knowledge and experience, and it is a pleasure to welcome him to the team,” said Pollak. “I look forward to working with him as we continue to discover, develop and distribute programming that entertains audiences around the world.”
