LONDON: Steve November, a 16-year veteran of ITV, has been hired as creative director for U.K. television at Lionsgate.

November exited his post as the director of drama at ITV in April. He is now going to be based in Lionsgate’s London office, looking after the company’s slate of original programming and managing relationships with British production partners. November will report to Zygi Kamasa, CEO for Lionsgate UK and Europe, and Kevin Beggs, Lionsgate Television Group’s chairman.

“Steve is a visionary and experienced executive with great talent relationships and a terrific roster of groundbreaking television series to his credit,” said Kamasa.

“He is the perfect choice to oversee the continued build of our U.K. television business and to collaborate with Kevin, me and the rest of our teams on identifying exciting new creative and strategic opportunities.”

“Zygi and his team have built a premier film brand in the U.K., and Steve November has the skills and vision to extend that leadership into television,” added Beggs.

November said: “I am delighted to be joining Lionsgate, a company with the scale, ambition and experience to capitalize on the strength and breadth of creativity in the U.K. and to lead the way in high-end television production. It is a very exciting prospect and I am very much looking forward to the new challenge.”
