Endemol Shine Group Ups Joe Pietroni to Lead Technology Team

AMSTERDAM/LONDON: Endemol Shine Group has promoted Joe Pietroni to the post of group chief technology officer.

In this role, Pietroni is charged with heading up a new technology team, developing new apps around the company’s digital video business and overseeing server operations for Endemol Shine Group’s gaming apps and technical strategy across the group for these areas. Pietroni will report to Endemol Shine Group’s director of commercial and strategy, Wim Ponnet.

Pietroni joined Endemol Shine Group in 2012 as the director of digital production and gaming. He most recently served as the director of technical development, apps and games. In that role, he was responsible for establishing Endemol Shine Group’s global development team that produces apps and games for brands such as Deal or No Deal, Mr Bean, Big Brother and Your Face Sounds Familiar, in addition to YouTube video apps supporting several Endemol Shine Beyond channels. Prior to joining Endemol Shine Group, Pietroni worked at Celador International in games development and founded and directed digital agency Contraplay.
