LONDON: Gaumont Television has hired Nicola Andrews as the company's VP of distribution, a newly created position.

Andrews will work out of London under Erik Pack, the president of international distribution at Gaumont Television. She is charged with selling the company's lineup of kids' programming—including the animated titles Calimero, Belle and Sebastian and Welcome to Bric-a-Broc—into the U.S., Canada and Western Europe. She will also distribute all of Gaumont Television's programming into Benelux.

Throughout her career, Andrews has held such roles as head of acquisition for Cineflix Rights and managing director for BKN New Media. She has also worked in television sales for Sony Pictures and Carlton International. Most recently, Andrews has been running her own media consultancy firm, Hemisphere Distribution, in London.

"With the recent rebranding of Gaumont Television and all of the distribution now centralized into one division, the timing is ideal for adding Nikki to our team," remarked Pack. "Her experience of over two decades, her professionalism, and her keen knowledge of the industry make her the perfect fit for this new position."
