LONDON: The Endemol Shine UK label Kudos has made a number of key senior executive appointments, among them naming Jo Strevens as head of development.

Strevens will focus on the origination and development of scripted content for the company, seeking new commissioning opportunities with U.K. and international broadcasters and partners while strengthening the company’s roster of writing talent. Before joining Kudos in 2014, Strevens was the head of development at Hat Trick where credits included The Suspicions of Mr Whicher and Case Sensitive.

Meanwhile, Naomi de Pear, the former head of development, is stepping up to a producing role at Kudos. This kicks off with Flowers, the recently announced 6×30-minute comedy drama for Channel 4, which she developed alongside writer/director Will Sharpe. She will also continue as a development producer working on new scripted ideas. Additionally, Chris Fry, the producer on Channel 4/AMC’s Humans, has been promoted to an executive producer role at the company. Fry will work on the recently announced second season of Humans alongside executive producer Derek Wax. He will also develop other projects within the company.

The appointments mark the first executive moves by new joint CEOs Diederick Santer and Daniel Isaacs, who took up their positions at Kudos in May.

Santer and Isaacs said: “Naomi, Jo and Chris are amongst the smartest and most adventurous producers and development executives in the industry. They have all played an instrumental part in the past success of Kudos and we’re hugely excited to have them on board in these new roles as we head into the future and further build our extraordinary lineup of iconic dramas.”
