STOCKHOLM: MTG has completed the acquisition of the shares in Turtle Entertainment, the world’s largest e-sports company, which operates the ESL brand.

With this, MTG has completed all of the three digital acquisitions announced in July. The company will now focus on enabling them to expand even faster by leveraging the benefits from being part of an international digital entertainment group. MTG already closed the acquisitions of Zoomin.TV, the online video entertainment network, content production and advertising sales house, and Splay, the number one multichannel network in Scandinavia.

Jørgen Madsen Lindemann, MTG's president and CEO, said: “The investments in ESL, Zoomin and Splay are a key part of MTG’s transformation as a global digital entertainer. They are in line with our strategy to invest in relevant, complementary and scalable digital brands, content and communities, and will enable us to bring our viewers the best entertainment we can across all of our verticals.”
