Banijay & Zodiak to Merge

PARIS: Banijay Group and Zodiak Media have agreed to combine the companies into a single outfit, led by Stéphane Courbit as chairman and Marco Bassetti as CEO.

Courbit is the founder of Banijay and Bassetti is Banijay Group's CEO. They will both assume the new roles at the merged company upon closing of the transaction.

The combined Banijay-Zodiak business will have a footprint in more than 18 territories, with production operations that span entertainment, drama, factual, reality, docudrama, children's and animation. An extensive sales arm will be handling the worldwide rights distribution and licensing for both in-house and third-party content.
