LONDON: Independent production company Nevision has appointed Nigel Pickard to join its board and Sharon Bloom to develop the company’s drama slate.

Pickard will join the Nevision Board and work with the founding team, which includes James Cabourne, the CEO, and industry executives Neil Zeiger, Keith Evans and Tim Buxton. Pickard most recently served as the CEO of Zodiak UK Kids and Family and CEO of Zodiak Middle East, Asia and Australasia.

“I have been an admirer of the creativity and collaborative ethos at Nevision, so am delighted to be joining the Board,” said Pickard. “Nevision is a conduit for free agents looking to work with the best in drama, factual and children’s programming. As a company, we are planning to further expand our slate of productions working with like-minded creatives on top-tier programming for the global audience.”

Bloom joins Nevision to develop drama projects for the international market. She most recently produced the last three seasons of the crime drama Silent Witness, and has served as both a producer and executive producer for the BBC and ITV. Among her other credits are Peak Practice, Sweet Medicine, Anybodys Nightmare, Murder in Suburbia and Margery and Gladys.

Bloom said, “I'm very excited about working with Nevision at a time when the company is further expanding into innovative scripted programming. I look forward to working with great writers, producers and directors to create high-end drama for the international audience.”

Cabourne stated, “With their experience and flair, Nigel and Sharon are an invaluable addition to the group. Having worked first-hand with Nigel on our co-produced children’s series Floogals with Zodiak, we know he is the right fit for our hand-picked creative team. He is highly respected both in the U.K. and internationally and is perfectly positioned to help with the next phase of Nevision’s evolution. I am also delighted that a producer of Sharon’s quality and impressive track record has agreed to join us to play a key role in growing Nevision’s drama slate and getting our projects to the screen.”
