Sport TV Scores EHF Champions League Games

NEW YORK: Hungarian TV channels Sport1 and Sport2 will become the exclusive home for the European Handball Federation (EHF) Champions League and other EHF European Cup events, thanks to a deal between EHF Marketing and AMC Networks International-Central Europe.

Under the agreement, Sport1 and Sport2 will air all EHF games involving Hungarian teams, showing more than 130 matches per season. The channels will also produce additional content to support their live broadcasts. The first games on Sport1 and Sport2 will be Győri Audi ETO KC's pursuit to qualify for the Women's EHF Champions Group Matches in the qualification tournament on September 12 and 13.

Levente Málnay, the CEO of AMC Networks International-Central Europe (AMCNI CE), remarked: "We are proud to be the Channel of Champions. The VELUX EHF and the Women's EHF Champions League are new programs on our channels, and Sport1 and Sport2 will bring the games to the vast majority of Hungarian households. We guarantee that the TV production, the hype around these games will match the fantastic recent performances of the Hungarian teams."
