Scorpion TV Scores International Sales, Adds to Slate

LONDON: Scorpion TV has secured international sales for a range of content across the globe, along with acquiring the film Zapped: The Buzz About Mosquitoes and adding to its sales team.

CUNY in the U.S. has picked up 26 episodes of Attitude, which presents notable achievements of people with disabilities. TV3 in Spain signed on for War Reporter, about journalists in the Middle East, and How to Be a Billionaire, about three self-made billionaires. Meanwhile, Just Entertainment in Benelux acquired a trilogy of films about Auschwitz titled Destruction for home video distribution. In addition, SBS in Australia picked up Boobs, which follows a girl who gets plastic surgery; Craigslist Joe, about a man who travels around the U.S. for free using Craigslist; Payday, looking at what the last day of the month means to four young people; and Red Light Green Light, about attempts to stop global sex trafficking. The BAFTA Award winner The Paedophile Hunter was scooped up by TVA in Canada and Discovery in Poland and Italy, while NHK in Japan acquired The Aviatrix. AB Group in France snapped up Little Ripper and Conquering The World.

In addition to these sales, Scorpion TV picked up the film Zapped: The Buzz About Mosquitoes, which aired on The Nature of Things on CBC Canada.

Finally, Scorpion TV has named German Diez to the sales team. In his new role, Diez is responsible for Spanish-speaking territories and Southern Europe. He is replacing Juan Solera, who left the company in May.
