STV Productions Taps Discovery Exec as Creative Director

LONDON: Dan Korn, who most recently was serving as head of special projects at Discovery Networks International, has joined STV Productions in the role of creative director, with a particular focus on specialist factual and returnable programming.

Korn will be based at STV Productions’ office in London and will take up his new role in August. Previously, Korn played key roles in a number of projects at Discovery, including the channel launches of Quest and Investigation Discover in the U.K. He was formerly Discovery's head of programming for the U.K. and Western Europe.

Korn said: “I’m very excited to be embarking on this new challenge which will give me the opportunity to develop and produce different factual strands of STV Productions’ work. I loved working for Discovery but the time has come for a new challenge and I’m looking forward to the next chapter of my career.”
