LONDON: The comedy Parks and Recreation, which finished its series run after seven seasons on NBC, has been picked up by UKTV's Dave.

The series will launch on Dave on July 27, thanks to a deal with NBCUniversal International Distribution. The pact sees seasons four through seven coming to Dave, as well as UKTV's on-demand service, UKTV Play.

Alexandra Finlay, the head of acquisitions for UKTV, said, “We're delighted to extend our partnership with NBCUniversal on this deal. As an award-winning comedy with a superb cast, Parks and Recreation is a fantastic addition to Dave's scripted acquisition slate.”

Steve North, the general manager for Dave, added, “Parks and Recreation feels like it was written for Dave; the wit and humor fits perfectly on the channel and will be a great addition to the slate, sitting alongside Suits which we are bringing closer to the U.S.”
