LONDON: Initial, part of the Endemol Shine UK group, has received a two-season order for The Almost Impossible Game Show from ITV2.

The series sees ten contestants pit themselves against a range of simple, yet hilariously difficult, physical games. The contestants are given 50 attempts to complete just five of them. Each of the two prime-time seasons will feature six hour-long episodes. Filming is slated for this summer, with the first to run on air later this year.

Nick Samwell-Smith, the managing director of Initial, said: “We’re thrilled to be joining forces with ITV2 on this utterly absurd and completely anarchic format which features some of the most ludicrous games that our evil, twisted creative team could come up with.”

“The show is silly, fun, never predictable and thoroughly entertaining—perfect for ITV2,” said ITV’s director of digital platforms, Angela Jain.
