Gedeon Programmes Makes Trio of Appointments

PARIS: Gedeon Programmes has named Virginie Guibbaud as producer of documentaries and docudrama, and Marie Thiry as producer of new media, while Sarah Verdier joins the company to assist Thiry.

In her new role, Guibbaud will oversee the development and production of films in the field of history. She previously worked for 13 Productions, Mille et Une Films before being hired by Films d'Ici in 2011. The following year, Guibbaud was an associate producer for Films d'Ici 2, which she helped create. She teaches documentary writing at the Sorbonne.

Thiry will serve as producer of new media in the New Media and Museography department. She will be assisted by Verdier, who is responsible for development in the New Media department.

Prior to joining Gedeon Programmes a year ago, Thiry was a project manager for a web agency, where she supervised teams of web designers and developers. Verdier previously worked for a number of production companies specializing in docs and short films, as well as at the Cinquatre and the Centre Pompidou.
