CTK Being Rebranded as Sundance Channel in Spain

NEW YORK/MADRID: AMC Networks International is rebranding the film channel CTK in Spain to Sundance Channel, which will feature a mix of first-run original drama alongside independent films and documentaries.

The rebrand takes effect October 1. On October 9, Sundance Channel in Spain will premiere the second season of the original drama Rectify. The network will operate as a 24/7 Spanish-language service.

Eduardo Zulueta, the managing director of AMC Networks International—Iberia and Latin America, stated, “CTK’s transition to Sundance Channel will be a great opportunity to grow viewership on our partners’ platforms by sharing fresh, new compelling original programming with their subscribers.”

Bruce Tuchman, the president of AMC Global and Sundance Channel Global, commented, “Spain continues to be one of our biggest priority expansion markets in Western Europe. We’re looking forward to offering an exclusive selection of distinctive independent-minded programming to local audiences throughout Spain.”
